The Scholar Ship is an international education initiative supported by numerous organizations dedicated to the success of the program’s students. Our affiliation with the following organizations such as Royal Caribbean, the United Nations University, Microsoft and IBM underscores our own commitment to operating a world-class international education program.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.
The Scholar Ship is backed by Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., the most innovative cruise line in the world. With a 31-ship fleet, their contributions extend well beyond funding. Expansive resources, including expertise in maritime operations, risk management and security, provide The Scholar Ship with a level of sophistication exclusive to large multinational organizations. Royal Caribbean and its employees worldwide are proud to be supporting the growth of international education through The Scholar Ship program.
United Nations University
The Scholar Ship and the United Nations University are collaborating in the development of a strategic partnership. Through this joint arrangement, both institutions will contribute to the success of the United Nations Millennium Development Goals, which constitute one of the research priorities of The Scholar Ship Research Institute.
Cambridge Central Asia Forum [University of Cambridge]
The Scholar Ship has established a collaborative relationship with Cambridge Central Asia Forum (Jesus College, University of Cambridge) to cooperate on supporting the scholarly endeavors of students and faculty from selected Central Asian universities. This is accomplished firstly through joint research collaborations between scholars and students from Central Asian universities, the University of Cambridge and The Scholar Ship Research Institute, and secondly through promotion of student participation in The Scholar Ship's teaching and experiential learning program.
Intercultural Leadership Forum
The Scholar Ship has established the Intercultural Leadership Forum to identify, define and debate the knowledge and skill sets essential for success in the 21st-century workforce. Senior-level executives from a broad spectrum of multinational corporations and organizations have been called upon to help shape The Scholar Ship’s programs and curricular development. The Intercultural Leadership Forum ensures that the program’s learning outcomes remain on the leading edge of relevancy for our students.
