Passport and Visas

Please make sure that your passport is valid for six months after the end of the voyage and has several blank pages available for stamps and visas to be added before and during the voyage.
The number of tourist visas required to study aboard The Scholar Ship will vary according to your country of citizenship. For some countries you will have to arrange your visa yourself in advance, but for many countries you will be able to get a visa on arrival. Since you will be part of a large educational group on a short-term visit, in many cases we have a streamlined procedure for obtaining visas when we reach port.
For a listing of which visas we will apply for as a group and which you will need to arrange on your own based upon your country of citizenship, please see our Visa Checklists.
If you have questions after consulting the Visa Checklist for your country of citizenship, please consult our Visa Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) guide. Any unanswered questions may be directed to our Visa Support Group.
As they become available for upcoming voyages, Visa Checklists are listed here alphabetically by country of citizenship. If you do not see your country, please contact our Visa Support Group for more information.
