Fifty percent of program fees cover the cost of tuition. The remaining 50 percent cover the items in the list below.   

What the Fees include: 

• Tuition and all materials 
• Port visits where these are part of the study program
• Accommodation in a twin-bedded inside cabin (other options available for a supplementary charge). Daily service. Regular linen and towel change.
• 3 meals a day on board, both on ship and in port 
• Medical insurance. The Scholar Ship will provide a standard medical insurance policy. 
• Basic but limited internet access (speed and availability depends on location)
• Comprehensive medical, medical evacuation and repatriation insurance. The following link shows the description of coverage:

What the Fees do not include:

• Travel to and from the ports of embarkation and debarkation
• Passport and visa fees
• Required damage deposit of 175 USD (return of which is subject to deductions for damage)
• A 50 USD non-refundable application fee
• Clothes laundry (a reasonably priced laundry service is available)
• Discretionary spending money on board and in port 
• Internet access above the basic minutes included
• Optional port excursions
