International Communication
International communication is the study of how communication channels and strategies are used to shape messages and opinions across national and cultural boundaries. Revolutionary technologies have changed the manner in which we communicate, locally and globally. Effective communication is essential for maintaining relationships in an increasingly interdependent world. International communication is particularly relevant to students pursuing careers in diplomacy, international civil service, development, media, public relations and international business.
Furthermore, academic field study during port calls provides an invaluable learning opportunity for students to reflect outside the classroom, in a context that resonates long after their voyage concludes.
