Postgraduate Degree Options

Postgraduate students have a variety of options for either earning postgraduate certificates or continuing their studies to earn postgraduate degrees from a select group of institutions worldwide that accept credit from postgraduate study aboard The Scholar Ship. Additional degree programs are currently under development.

 
Postgraduate Certificate awarded by Macquarie University

Postgraduate students successfully completing specified requirements during a semester aboard The Scholar Ship may apply their course credits to receive the following postgraduate certificate, subject to approval and additional fees by Macquarie University:

 

 

  • Postgraduate Certificate in International Communication

     

    Masters Degrees awarded by Macquarie University

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by Macquarie University, apply their course credits toward either of the following degrees. These options require an additional semester of study at the university’s campus in Sydney, Australia, or where indicated by an asterisk (*), in the Macquarie University program at the Normandy School of Business in Le Havre, France:

     

  • Master of International Business
  • Master of Arts in International Communication
  • Master of International Relations

     

    Students pursuing degrees in International Business, International Communication or International Relations may earn dual degrees in any combination thereof with two total semesters of study at Macquarie University, subsequent to a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship.

     

  • Master of Arts in International Communication/ Master of International Relations
  • Master of Arts in International Communication/ Master of International Business
  • Master of International Business/ Master of International Relations

     

    Master of Arts Degrees awarded by Tecnológico de Monterrey

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by Tecnológico de Monterrey, apply their course credits toward either of the following degrees, which requires two additional semesters of study at the university’s campus in Monterrey, Mexico:

     

  • Master of International Business

     

    Master of Arts Degrees awarded by Al Akhawayn University

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by Al Akhawayn University, apply their course credits toward the following degree, which requires three additional semesters of study at the university’s campus in Ifrane, Morocco:

     

  • Master of International Studies and Diplomacy

     

    The Macquarie University / Tecnológico de Monterrey Double Masters Degree

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by Tecnológico de Monterrey and Macquarie University, apply their course credits toward the following degree, which requires one semester of study at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Mexico and one semester of study at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia:

     

  • Master of International Business*

    Master of Business Administration Degree Awarded by Pforzheim University

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by Pforzheim University, apply their course credits toward the following degree, which requires two additional semesters of study at Pforzheim University in Germany:

     

  • Master of Business Administration - International Management

     

    Master of Arts in Liberal Arts Degree Awarded by Institute of Liberal Arts, Universidad de Navarra

    Postgraduate students successfully completing a semester of study aboard The Scholar Ship may, subject to approval by the Institute of Liberal Arts of the Universidad de Navarra, apply their course credits toward the following degree, which requires two additional semesters of study at Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain:

     

  • Master of Arts in Liberal Arts

     

    Student Visa Requirement for Postgraduate Degree Seekers

    Please note that in addition to the tourist visas required for time aboard The Scholar Ship, students wishing to pursue any of the preceding postgraduate degree programs may need to obtain a student visa for study at the host university. Student visa applications take more time to process, so please consider this in your planning process. Contact the International Studies> office of the institution you would like to attend for more information.

    Staff Profile

     

    Cherine Badawi 
    IRC Coordinator, Experiential Education Specialist

    A citizen of Egypt and the U.S., Cherine had the privilege of growing up on two sides of the planet. Her area of expertise lies in the development and facilitation of experiential social justice and conflict resolution programs for young people around the world. She was a journalist for several years in the Middle East and the U.S., authored the Footprint Handbook to Egypt and worked with non-profit organizations that include American Friends Service Committee, A Safe Place, Challenge Day, and the Mosaic Project. In 2005, she was awarded the prestigious Rotary World Peace Fellowship.
